On Sunday afternoon I did a kick start activity from the summer learning journey . This activity was called Wavey Words, the first part was pretty hard for me because I didn’t know much about the ocean but the next part .Creating a word art poster was fun . Wow I’m so pleased that this task helped you to learn more about the sea! I’m Mrs Williams and I help the Manaiakalani Network support with the Summer Learning Journey. I live in Gisborne and yes I do surf! Well, to be fair, I spend most of my time falling off a surfboard, but it’s fun to play at learning something even when it’s hard. And sometimes we take fish and chips down to the beach and enjoy the Gisborne sunsets. It’s a great treat!
At one of our local beaches, we even have a little blue penguin… I see you added penguin to your word wheel!
I really like your designs as they reflect the colours of the ocean, which is such a neat thing to include in the design process.

Do you create some of the activities? Surfing seems really fun to do,but really hard at the same time .
If I tried I know I´d fall off immediately 😆. It’s so cool that you take fish n chips down to the beach and watch the sunsets, I can’t imagine how beautiful it looks.
